Organize a Cross-Border Design Review Handoff on Mac
Collect localized mockups, copy decks and review notes from different Mac folders, then verify audience and version before sending.

The short answerFor a cross-border design review, stage each market's approved mockups, copy deck and reference notes in a named Historr Drag Shelf. Compare the files with a review manifest, then Save to Folder or drag copies to the team's approved destination. The shelf does not translate content, track approvals or control recipient access. Review language, locale-specific numbers and the final recipient list before sharing.
Why can a tidy review package still be wrong?
An export named final can still carry the wrong language or yesterday's price. A review package needs a clear market and revision marker, not just a neat pile of files.
File delivery is also not the same as approval. A client can comment on an old mockup if the handoff does not explain which version is current.
What does a shelf not validate?
Historr lets you collect files from separate Finder locations without relocating originals. Multiple temporary shelves can keep market-specific batches apart during the same session.
Unicode CLDR documents locale-sensitive number formats. A design handoff should therefore inspect rendered amounts and separators in the actual mockups, not assume a copied numeric string looks right everywhere.
How do you hand off by market and revision?
Define the review manifest
List each market, language, screen, revision and approver. Add the expected copy deck and notes so reviewers can identify what changed.
Stage by market
Open a shelf with Option-Shift-D and name it for a market or review round. Add only the corresponding mockups and supporting files.
Inspect localized details
Preview the files and check visible language, prices, dates, images and notes against the manifest. Use the source design system for any disputed copy or token.
Save and deliver
Save a durable folder per market or send copies through the approved review tool. Confirm recipients can open the intended files and know the current revision.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Mixing two markets in one unlabeled batch.
- Assuming a pasted price has the right locale format.
- Calling a shared mockup approved without a recorded decision.
Which system records the decision?
- Put market and revision in filenames.
- Maintain one review manifest outside the shelf.
- Verify access as the recipient, not only as the sender.

Put it into practice with Historr
Historr's free Drag Shelf reduces Finder window juggling and keeps market batches separate until the reviewer is ready to send them.
It is not a localization QA system. The team must inspect content and record approvals in its normal design review process.

Questions, answered.
Can I use one shelf per market?
Yes. Multiple named shelves can separate temporary batches during the session.
Does Historr localize the mockups?
No. It stages and transfers files only.
Will original files move?
No. Existing files remain in their source locations.
Do shelves retain approvals?
No. Keep decisions and final versions in the project review system.
Take it from here
A cross-border design package works when each reviewer knows the market, revision and decision needed. A shelf can help assemble the right file set, but the manifest carries the meaning.
